Our client is a leading global retail company representing some of the most popular, developing and diverse brands within fashion and retail. The organization covers wholesale and retail trading across international brands including clothing, shoes and perfume for men, women and children.

They are an expanding and developing company moving into new areas and into new locations across the Middle East and the USA

We are now looking for an experienced General Manager who has worked with launching new brands, introducing new brands into new markets, implementing a brand, building a brand from scratch etc. This person will have experience in one of these areas ideally – Fashion/ Retail/ Sports/ FMCG/ Luxury brands – Fashion Retail experience is very welcome but not essential.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

Operate a profitable brand retail partnership business across KSA or a specified number of countries, goal to be Number 1 fashion retail business across the Middle East.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Commercial and operations responsibility across specified number of store locations in KSA and/or other UAE and other countries
•Improve and sustain the commercial performance of the business by increasing its turnover and maximising its profitability
•Build a profitable business by maximising profitability and managing in store efficiency
•Create a buying capability that is the most efficient and cost effective
•Create a Customer centric model in store
•Drive efficiency and profitability from each site location
•Drive in store profitability, sales targets and objectives
•Manage strategic brand relationships
•Manage cost within margin levels to maximise profit
•Drive an efficient cost effective merchandising model to maximise margin and profit
•Drive the buying and merchandising activities across brands
•Build a strong brand management capability across all brands
•Work in conjunction with marketing on customer insight, campaign management and delivery
•Create an in store environment that drives repeat business
•Focus on maximising returns and knowing your customer
•Provide superior customer experience, attraction and retention in store
•Work in conjunction with finance, marketing, operations and HR
•Create measureable KPIs that demonstrate business targets
•Create succession plan for all key roles
•Drive a cost conscious model

KPIs:

•Delivery of monthly sales and operational target in respect to stores P & L responsibility
•Daily Sales Figures and target book usage + implementation is provided timely and accurately
•Achievement of the Monthly Sales Target through the appropriate range and quantity of products
•Customer satisfaction is within acceptable company standards
•Acceptable % of footfall conversions
•Store Operations are smooth and meet all Company Policy and Procedures
•Key Performance Issues are timely communicated and followed up for resolution


Requirements
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Graduate in Retail Sales Management preferred
•At least 2 years experience within a General Management role
•4+ years experience within Retail ideally
•Must have experience with launching new brands, introducing new brands into new markets, implementing a brand, building a brand from scratch etc
•Should ideally have experience in Footwear, Kid’s wear, men’s wear, women’s wear & Accessories
•Computer literate with very good command of English
